Book Excerpt. Gundungura Guide – Now Online. Posted on November 5, by Dave Noble. When I was starting bushwalking one of my treasured possessions was a small guidebook – The Gundungura Guide.
It was produced after a lot of research by members of SURC – Sydney University Rover Crew. Book Review, Bushwalking, Canyoning. According to Gandangara belief, in the primordial dreamtime (gun-yung-ga-lung, "times far past"), two creator figures, Gurangatch, a rainbow serpent, and Mirragañ, a quoll, went on a journey from a point on the upper reaches of Gundungura; book Wollondilly River, with Mirragan pursuing the former, until the trek ended at a waterhole named Joolundoo on the Language branch: Yuin–Kuric.

This was a project originally conceived by Geoff Ford (SUBW & SURC) to complete a map of part of the Southern Blue Mts that was (then) missing from Myles Dunphys series - namely the middle Kowmung.
